𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗻. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗲₂𝗢₃.

Top disc — competitor feldspar. Cream tint. Slightly dull surface. Iron doing what iron does at high temperature.

Bottom disc — Aalok feldspar. 200 mesh. Clean. Bright. White.

The customer saw both. He chose without hesitation.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻?

Iron oxide — even at 0.15–0.20% — imparts a yellow-cream cast to the fired body. It cannot be corrected at the kiln. It cannot be glazed over cleanly. It sits in the body permanently.

The only fix is the raw material.

Fe₂O₃ <0.10% is not a premium specification. It is the minimum that whiteness-critical ceramics demand.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆:

🚿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 — WC pans, basins, urinals fired once, sold on whiteness. A cream body fails buyer inspection. No rework possible.

🪟 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 — Large-format slabs where L* value is a commercial spec. Off-white batches go to discount or scrap.

🍽️ 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 & 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 — Export buyers measure whiteness with instruments. Cream is rejected at port.
