Natural quartz is selected, crushed, and classified into precise particle size fractions. Each fraction is tested for SiO₂%, Fe₂O₃%, TiO₂%, and whiteness. The quartz-resin mix is spread onto a mould and subjected to simultaneous vibration and vacuum under a press (the patented Bretonstone process or equivalent).
