Ceramics · Glass · Paint · Rubber · Electronics · Pharma · Construction. 50+ Countries. Custom Mesh 50–400+.
Snow White Quartz Powder — commercially known as Snow White Silica Powder, Silica Flour, Ground Silica, Quartz Flour, or Silicon Dioxide Powder (SiO₂) — is a premium category of industrial mineral powder produced by mining, crushing, precision-grinding, and air-classifying high-purity natural quartz rock sourced exclusively from the finest mineral belts of Rajasthan, India. The defining characteristic of Snow White grade quartz is its exceptional brightness and whiteness index (90–96+ on the Hunter Lab scale), achieved through stringent magnetic separation of iron-bearing minerals to achieve Fe₂O₃ below 0.02% — one of the lowest commercially available iron oxide levels in the world.
With a chemical formula of SiO₂ (Silicon Dioxide) and purity levels reaching 99.9% in our ultra-fine grade, Snow White Quartz Powder from Aalok Overseas India is a transformative industrial ingredient used across ceramics, glass, paints, rubber, plastics, construction chemicals, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and specialty technical applications worldwide. Its combination of maximum whiteness, ultra-high purity, precise particle size control, chemical inertness, and batch-to-batch consistency makes it the preferred choice for manufacturers across six continents.
The global industrial silica market was valued at USD 9.8 billion in 2023 and is forecast to reach USD 15.4 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 6.7%. The highest growth is in ultra-high-purity grades for electronics, solar glass, and specialty coatings — exactly the segments where Snow White Quartz Powder excels. India accounts for approximately 8–10% of global silica mineral exports, with Rajasthan-origin white quartz recognised as the world benchmark for purity-to-cost ratio.
Aalok Overseas India is a vertically integrated manufacturer operating its own mining leases, beneficiation plants, high-intensity wet magnetic separation (WHIMS) units, Raymond mills, ball mills, and dynamic air classifiers in Rajasthan's Aravalli mineral belt. Every batch is tested by XRF analysis, laser diffraction PSD measurement, Hunter Lab whiteness, pH, moisture, and oil absorption before dispatch — with a full Certificate of Analysis provided to every buyer.
The Aravalli Mountain Range in Rajasthan is one of the oldest and geologically most stable mineral terrains on Earth — ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks, formed over 2.5 billion years, have produced exceptionally pure, crystalline quartzite with naturally high SiO₂ (>99%), natural white-to-brilliant-white colour without bleaching, extremely low iron content, and consistent crystalline alpha-quartz structure. The key districts — Ajmer, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Bikaner, and Pali — collectively represent India's largest and highest-quality white quartz mineral belt.
Three carefully formulated purity grades cover the full spectrum from standard industrial applications to the most demanding semiconductor and pharmaceutical requirements.

In the world's most demanding white applications — optical glass, white ceramics, high-gloss architectural paints, electronics encapsulants — even a trace of iron produces a yellow-grey tint that is commercially unacceptable. Our Ultra-Fine Grade achieves Fe₂O₃ below 0.02% through multi-stage WHIMS magnetic separation — the lowest commercially available level for naturally sourced quartz powder in India. This delivers a Hunter Lab whiteness of 93–96+ without any bleaching chemicals, ensuring maximum colour purity, brightness, and pigment system compatibility.
Cost-efficient, high-volume industrial grade for ceramics body, sanitaryware, tile production, refractory, construction chemicals, wall putty, and cement paint. Whiteness 88–90. Excellent bulk supply continuity.
Premium grade for glass manufacturing, architectural paint fillers, rubber compounds, adhesive and sealant fillers, and powder coatings. Whiteness 90–93. XRF-verified purity. Most versatile grade across industries.
Highest purity grade for electronics epoxy molding compounds, semiconductor encapsulants, dental composites, pharmaceutical excipients, specialty coatings, and optical glass. Whiteness 93–96+. Tightest PSD control. Premium pricing.
Achieving Snow White quality requires more processing steps than standard quartz. Our 8-stage process ensures every particle meets the highest whiteness and purity specifications.
Exclusive mining of naturally white, high-purity quartz veins from our Rajasthan lease areas. Only zones with visual assessment confirming bright white colour and pre-assay SiO₂ >99% are quarried for Snow White grade. Coloured or grey zones are segregated.
Jaw crushers reduce run-of-mine white quartz to 10–30 mm feed size. Pre-screen removes contaminated fines and dark-coloured material. Careful handling at every stage to prevent iron contamination from equipment.
Removes surface clay, iron-stained coatings, and impurity films. Attrition scrubbers break open grain surface coatings to expose pristine white quartz. Critical step for final whiteness outcome without chemical treatment.
Two to three passes through high-gradient wet magnetic separators remove magnetite, hematite, ilmenite, and other iron-bearing minerals. This proprietary multi-pass process achieves Fe₂O₃ below 0.02% — the key to 96+ whiteness — without acid washing or bleaching chemicals.
Rotary dryers and fluid bed dryers reduce moisture to <0.2–0.5% depending on grade. Controlled drying temperature preserves crystal structure. Moisture is measured and verified before grinding.
Dedicated milling circuits for each grade (ball mill for coarser, Raymond mill and impact mill for finer grades) ensure zero cross-contamination between Standard, High Purity, and Ultra-Fine grades. Mill wear-parts monitored to prevent iron contamination from milling media.
Dynamic air classifiers with closed-circuit separation achieve tight particle size distributions. D97 and D50 are controlled to specification. Over-size particles are returned to the mill; under-size fines are separated for micron-grade products.
